The China-aided Myanmar Poverty Reduction Demonstration Cooperation Project is part of the ASEAN Poverty Reduction Cooperation Initiative proposed by the Chinese government, which aims to help Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia establish poverty reduction cooperation demonstration sites and provide a model for promoting international poverty reduction cooperation.

About 70% of Myanmar's population lives in rural areas, and the rural poor account for about 23% of the country's population. Peace, stability and development are crucial to Myanmar, and poverty is a source of instability and a major obstacle to the country's development. Developing the rural economy and changing rural poverty is one of the top priorities of the Myanmar government.

Due to historical reasons and unbalanced power supply development, there are still many villages in Myanmar that do not have electricity. Even some villages that have electricity have no street lights, which brings great inconvenience to villagers' night life, travel, and students' night tutoring, etc. .
At night, the village is completely dark, especially in the rainy season, it is difficult to travel, and there are certain safety hazards, such as encountering snakes.

As a comprehensive supporting facility, Sandisolar Company undertook the task of installing solar photovoltaic street lights at the "China-aided Myanmar Poverty Reduction Demonstration Cooperation Project Site". Based on on-the-spot investigation and research, combined with the distribution of roads, villagers' houses and trees in the village, Sandisolar has reasonably designed the lighting scheme of 120 solar street lamps on the roads in the village.

Sandisolar
adopts advanced and efficient solar street lighting system. In the continuous rainy season, especially in the way of transporting solar street lamps from China to the project site, Sandisolar has overcome many difficulties. With the joint efforts of all employees, after a short period of 40 After many days of intense construction, the construction task was successfully completed, which solved the difficulty of traveling at night for the rural people, and illuminated the way for students to tutor at night and for villagers' activities! When the street lights came on, the villagers said excitedly: The night life in the village is so different from before! We can also live a modern civilized life at night! The villagers would gather at the village committee office at night to chat about family affairs. What's more, some students simply moved a small table and a small bench to the street lamp to do their homework!

It can be predicted that the solar street lights illuminate not only the roads that pass through the two villages at night, but also the future life paths of the young people in the villages.

According to reports, 57% of households in Myanmar currently have no access to electricity. Providing reliable and clean electricity to the population and households without electricity is one of the top priorities of the Myanmar government. The targeted poverty alleviation project initiated by the Chinese government and in close cooperation with relevant government departments in Myanmar has demonstrated China's experience in using renewable energy to successfully achieve power construction and poverty alleviation in areas without electricity, showing a demonstration effect in Myanmar. Sandisolar will be here Continue to contribute to this great cause.
